Visit the historic market town of Skipton, walk through the magical limestone landscape of Malham or follow in the footsteps of the Brontë sisters through the Worth Valley.

The River Aire starts its journey in excellent walking country at Malham, home to Malham Cove which is a spectacular curved limestone crag topped with a deeply fissured limestone pavement.

The river flows through the market town of Skipton, also known as The Gateway to the Dales, which offers many good shops and eating places along with the wonderfully preserved medieval castle.

Travelling south through Airedale brings you to Haworth in the heart of Brontë Country.
