It has a south-facing terrace area with small lawned garden over the ha-ha, perfect for al fresco dining. The village has a pub incorporating a highly regarded and popular restaurant; whilst nearby Reeth has village shops, a Post Office, Dales museum, retaurants, pubs serving meals, tea rooms and craft shops. There are walks form the doorstep and the whole of the National Park is easily accessible by car.
